Over 1500 tickets had been sold by Tuesday evening for Charlton’s last away game of the season at Preston.
Charlton still have two achievable targets left: another win would see them attain 100 points for the season and if they were to win both of their remaining fixtures, it would set a new points record for League One.
These factors will prevent Chris Powell fielding any of the club’s talented youngsters this season but he is hoping to give the squad players some game time.
Players such as Andy Hughes, Cedic Evina, Paul Hayes and possibly Darel Russell and Jason Euell may get to play cameo roles.
It has long been rumoured that the Red Devils display team would parachute the League One trophy into The Valley at the Hartlepool game. The Red Devils website has now confirmed that their team will be doing a display at The Valley on 5 May.
The pre-match entertainment will feature popular soprano and Charlton fan, Victoria Stanyon, as well as Sale based tenor Martin Toal.
Tickets for the final game of the season have now sold out, but those wishing to re-live this momentous season can order the end of season highlights DVD. It is safe to assume that demand will be the highest for several years!
